Finding Year-Round Value in Your Stakeholder Reports

The start of a new year means it’s time to begin collecting all that year-end data to feed the reporting cycle yet again. Annual reports, ESG reports, human capital management reports and any other kind of publication your company creates take a significant amount of time and energy to pull together. But they are solid indicators of your company’s performance, so it’s important to take the time to do them well. Once you hit “publish” on a report, you can breathe a sigh of relief and move on to other projects. But first, take another look at all that hard work you did, and find a way to repurpose it.

If you take a fresh look at those reports, you’ll see a plethora of ways to work smarter and get more value for the time and resources invested in creating them. Here are some ideas to consider:

  • Find short and snappy highlights to pull for social media infographics.
  • Look for photos you can share in internal and external communications over the coming months to demonstrate your corporate culture.
  • Let the storytelling inspire a thought leadership piece or a video. We find interesting tidbits in the reports that we compile for clients and turn them into longer stories or vignettes that clients use on their websites or as sponsored content for targeted media outlets.

Take a close look and you’ll likely find dozens of pages of content that can be repurposed. And, of course, all that new content can link back to the full report, helping more people appreciate all the great work your company is doing.
